OrigNazev: Risk Assessment of a Heterogeneous Stratified Rock Cliff under an Elevated Road
PrekladNazvu: Určení rizika heterogenně vrstevnatého skalního útesu pod dopravní estakádou
KlicSlova: design reliability - heterogeneous rock cliff - very advanced numerical 3D model - substitutive values
AnotaceOrig: A slight but permanently unstable behaviour of an elevated road carrying a carriageway and tram tracks in both directions in the historical centre of Prague (Chotek road) and the ambient rock mass has been monitored for over twenty years. The movement values of the order of several millimetres per year have been measured. The upper part of the elevated road is founded on a heterogeneously stratified rock cliff. It was found necessary to analyse reliability and to assess the risk of the whole slope with the cliff in the very heterogeneously stratified Llandeilo stratum (the flysh zone of Prague Ordovician). The significance of the task was intensified by position of the new ""Hoffihotel"" closely below the cliff. The paper presents results of the risk assessment analyses according to the major aspects. The pier No. 10 can be considered as the most dangerous among analysed areas, the results presented are from that site.
