AnotaceOrig: The regional survey, completed with dendrochronological dating, brought some results which could be useful for the next stage of research activities in the history of architecture and also technology. The longitudinal frames were not only the means of lengthwise stiffening in collar-rafter roof structures. In the roofs of barns, granaries and also in houses they served as the necessary supporting structures for storage floors at the collar level. In the case of church roofs such framing could be used as an effective tool during the process of erecting timber roofs.
